Dermal fillers are made from advanced Hyaluronic Acid, a form of sugar that naturally occurs in the body to aid the repair of damaged tissue.

Fillers can be applied to the face to add volume, plump wrinkles and lift jowls, recreating the softness and shape of younger skin and rejuvenating your face.  A popular non-surgical solution for ageing skin that has lost structure as collagen that previously helped shape and support it, has disappeared.

The high levels of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) have the effect of attracting and retaining water, instantly improving the skin’s appearance by restoring its natural volume. HA is a natural ingredient found in the body but diminishes as we age.

Over time, our skin naturally loses fatty tissue and collagen, resulting in a gradual loss of volume.  Fillers are popular with those seeking a quick, non-surgical solution for ageing skin that has lost volume or to increase the size or redefine the lips.  They can also fill our facial hollows to recreate the smooth contours of younger skin, giving a more youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers achieve fantastic, lasting results.  If you are looking to add volume to areas of concern and  restructure trouble areas for a more youthful, defined appearance, fillers may be the perfect solution.

Dermal Fillers are used in the treatment of facial fat loss – also called facial lipoatrophy.  Facial lipoatrophy is a condition in which people lose fat in their faces, especially in the cheek area and around their temples and eyes.  Fillers are injected into the skin in those areas, causing the skin to thicken and masking the fat loss.

Dr Tong leads the Enhanced clinic with 15 years of medical experience, and is at the forefront of cosmetic treatments, with a superb knowledge and understanding of facial anatomy. His expert eye and attention to details allows him to achieve the very best results.

At Enhanced, we will have no reservation in advising against treatment if the doctor doesn’t feel that further aesthetic work will achieve any benefit to the aesthetic outcome of the patient.   Dr Tong specialises in achieving natural subtle transformations.

As the natural collagen in our skin disappears, we can lose volume and contour.  Dermal filler treatments can add volume, plump wrinkles and lift jowls, recreating the shape and softness of youthful skin.

The active ingredient, hyaluronic acid, is naturally found in the skin, tendons and muscles, and therefore combats an array of natural ageing problems, restructuring trouble areas for a more defined, youthful look.  Fillers can also be used to augment lip volume and contour.

Dermal Fillers have opened up the possibilities of enhancement of the face without the need of invasive surgery.  For many, fillers are the preferred option to improve our aesthetic appearance as it reduces risks, complications, recovery period and time. Most treatments will result in immediate changes to the area treated and continues to improve over a number of weeks.  The fact that non-surgical aesthetics typically last in the order of months rather than permanency also gives an advantage over invasive surgery.

Due to extensive clinical research and progression in the industry, at Enhance we use Juvedérm’s advanced products.  Juvedérm contains Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to help numb the area while simultaneously administering treatment.  This improves the patient’s experience by reducing any discomfort quickly, while the treatment can take up to an hour, depending on the desired effect and patient.  With Dermal Fillers you have the option of a numbing cream or a nerve block, making the treatment process pain-free from start to finish.

At Enhanced, you are choosing the reassurance that you are treated by an experienced Doctor who has 15 years of medical experience within the UK and Ireland.  We follow the rule of less is more.  We pride ourselves in achieving natural looking results.  Subtle but effected treatments result in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Conditions Treated with Dermal Filler

Thin lips can be a source of concern for many, especially now, as many celebrities are favouring larger lips.  There are many factors that can influence the size of lips, the most obvious being genetics.

As we age, the definition of the lip border's becomes faded.  Fillers can enhance the vermillion border (the line where the pink of the lips meet the skin), the philtrum (the two columns of skin just below the nostril) and the cupid's bow. This is known as lip enhancement.

Lip Enhancement with Dermal Fillers is becoming one of the most popular treatment in non-surgical Aesthetic Enhancement.  Fillers can be manipulated in many ways to enhance or augment the lips.

Lip augmentation is where fillers are used to change the shape of the lip itself to enhance volume and structure to the lips. This may be desirable to many clients depending on their opinion and their aesthetic objectives.

Augmentation may require 2-3 sessions to ensure the best result.  As always with non-surgical aesthetics, slow changes are better than dramatic profound alterations, as it allows the soft tissue to settle and adapt to the enhancement.

It is important to remember that each client and treatment is completely unique and your exact requirements and results will be discussed in detail with Dr Tong.
